As King’s Week draws to a close, we open the concert with MacCunn’s Land of the Mountain and the Flood Overture, followed by a chance to hear some of this year’s talented leavers perform Bruch’s Kol Nidrei for ‘cello, and movements from Larsson’s Horn Concertino and Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. The second half of the concert will showcase the wonderful Symphony Orchestra in a complete performance of Tchaikovsky’s 5th Symphony, a most fitting way to bring King’s Week to an end.
Black tie has traditionally been worn and is encouraged but if you do not have, or would feel uncomfortable in, black tie then please do feel free to wear other smart attire.
