This popular celebration of Shakespeare returns for a second year, as staff and pupils from the English Department share their love of Hamlet. Shakespeare’s longest play is over 4000 lines and would take around four hours to perform in full, but this version reduces it to just half an hour. Different combinations of pupils and staff will come together for a semi-staged reading of excerpts of the play, set against the beautiful backdrop of the Cathedral Herb Garden. Enjoy a drink in the sunshine, listen to Shakespeare’s beautiful language, and watch as his tale of murder, power and broken hearts unfolds.
Guaranteed refunds will not be possible, but please do let us know if you are unable to attend an event you booked, since we will try to sell your ticket on.
Parents are advised to order tickets for their children. Performances are open to the public and free seats cannot be reserved for members of the school.
